Evergreen Tree Pricing (estimate)
A general rule of thumb for tree estimate is $20 (faster growing) to $25 (slower growing) per foot per tree up to 8'. After 8', the price of the tree per foot increases dramatically due to the cost of labor and machinery to dig, wrap, transport and plant the tree. The price per foot may be negotiable depending on the species, quantity, and size of trees purchased. Digging the tree and wrapping the ball in burlap and a wire basket ready for pick up or delivery is included in the tree price.

Evergreen Tree Pick Up, Delivery, Planting Services (estimate)
When you pick up your trees, we will help you load your trees onto your truck and/or trailer using our equipment to help load your trees.

Chester County Trees will deliver your evergreen trees for about 10% of the cost of your trees, plus a small mileage traveled fee may apply. Delivery includes unloading your trees off our truck and/or trailer to roadside or curbside near our truck and/or trailer. Moving your trees beyond roadside or curbside must be requested and planned prior to delivery.
A "transporting fee" fee may apply when your trees must be manually transported long distances or to laborsome areas on-site.

Chester County Trees will plant your trees for about 40% of the cost of your trees and includes unloading your trees off our truck and/or trailer, moving your trees to where they will be planted, digging the holes, and planting the trees with a dirt mound surrounding each tree ball. A 5 to 10 tree minimum may be required depending on the driving distance and size of the trees. Planting fee may be negotiable depending on quantity, distance, and site conditions.
A "hard digging" or "complicated site" fee may apply when ground is extra hard or rocky or trees must be planted in complicated or laborsome areas.

Evergreen Tree Staking, Mulching, And Fencing Services (estimate)
Tree staking, mulching, and fencing is provided upon request. Tree staking is recommended for larger trees in high wind areas and when the top portion of the tree is heavier than the root ball. Mulching is recommended in areas that might remain dry and hot for long periods. Tree fencing is recommended when deer or livestock are suspect or known to damage trees in your area.

• Tree Planting, estimate 40% of tree price.
• Tree fencing (deer protection), estimate 30% of tree price, includes 3' or 4' all steel 12 or 14 guage wire fencing and 5 or 6 all steel 3' or 4' stakes (dark green in color). Installed about 2' from widest point of tree. Tree fencing includes tree staking as described below.
• Tree staking, estimate 20% of tree price, includes 2 or 3 all steel 3' or 4' stakes (dark green in color) and 12 or 14 guage wire with rubber hose attached to tree.
• Tree mulching, estimate 10% of tree price, includes heavy mulch ring (hardwood shavings) at base of tree.
• Tree delivery, estimate 10% of tree price plus $1 per mile.
• 6% PA Sales Tax applies to all trees and tree services.
• Tree quantity or bundle discount may apply.

Typically deer and livestock will choose to rub the trunk and pull a few leaves or branches off a younger tree with a softer bark and more flexible trunk. A small fence will prevent trunk rubbing. But if the deer or livestock decides to chew the leaves or branches to an extreme, a wider and taller fence may be necessary. Usually, minor chewed branches will not destroy a tree but rather, cause the tree to become more dense and grow more full... similar to pruning.

Evergreen Tree Aftercare And Training Service (estimate)
When your trees are delivered and planted, they are usually wrapped in burlap and wire and secured with sisal rope. One year after your trees are planted, the next early spring or early fall, we recommend that you should cut the sisal rope from around the trunk (base) of the tree and peel back or cut off the top layer of burlap and remove or dispose of the materials. Removing or cutting back the surface wire is also recommended as a precautionary and aftercare practice. At this time, we also recommend that you trim or train your tree to your preference and expectation by pruning a few branches to bring the tree into good balance. If your trees are staked and wired, remove the stakes and wires as well. If fenced, leave the fence in place until the tree reaches 5'-6' or taller in height (deer usually focus on smaller trees to rub). If you would like us to provide this aftercare service for you, estimate 20% of tree price.

Tree Or Bush Moving Service (estimate)
Maybe you have trees or bushes planted on your property that should be moved to a different location on your property. Maybe years ago you planted the tree too close to something or you simply changed your mind and need it moved. We will move any tree or bush up to 8' tall with little or no mess or ground disturbance. We charge $250 equipment loading and transportation, $200 for the first tree or bush moved, and $150 for each subsequent tree or bush moved. A site visit or photographs of the site is required to determine the ground condition and actual cost. If you need trees or bushes moved, ask us about our tree and bush moving service.
