Norway Spruce (a.k.a. european spruce) (picea abies)
The norway spruce is the fastest growing of the spruces and most diseases resistant of the evergreens. This spruce develops strong graceful branches that are covered with dark green needles. Ideal quick windbreaker or privacy screen.
Usually fast growing to approx. 100' to 120' tall with a 30' to 35' spread.
Norway Spruce grow between 1' and 2' tall per year at this size depending on the soil and weather conditions. Norway Spruce can be trained to a pyramid shape and become more dense by pruning their branches while not budding in the spring.
