Blackberry Bushes are potted in two gallon containers ready for transplant.
These blackberries are NOT normal blackberries, the blackberries are huge!
They are available in sweet blackberries or sour blackberries.
When purchased, the blackberry bush may not yield many blackberries until the following year after the blackberry bush is transplanted into the ground.
Although the blackberry bush may yield some blackberries the first year, you can expect to find generous amounts of blackberries the following year and each year thereafter.
Lots of blackberries, more and more each year, you may eat blackberry everything, like us.
Blackberries spread underground and create more new plants each year.
Those new plants will yield blackberries the following year for sure.
Blackberry bushes yield blackberries on the previous year's growth (branches), not this years new growth.
This year's new growth will yield blackberries next year -- so, never cut down or back the new growth, only cut down or back the old growth after the blackberries are done for the year.
The blackberry season in Chester county is usually May-June through July-August.
